The Pre-Licensing Process

In certain cases, you can rush the licensing process a bit.

Who is eligible?

Only Loan Officer applicants who are already in the loan origination business and have more than 18 months of experience with no criminal background.

Unfortunately, this program is NOT for Mortgage Broker applicants.

How does it work?

Essentially, you can apply for the Loan Officer License today, so your licensing process can start faster and you can originate loans as soon as the license is issued.  The process generally takes about 2 weeks instead of 4-6 weeks for the normal process.

Additionally, you can (temporarily) skip the education and exam part of the process.

You MUST carefully ensure that your license is perfectly completed before submission or your application will be kicked out into the regular processing pool.

A 90-day provisional license will be issued allowing sufficient time for the loan officer to acquire the appropriate educational hours and pass the pre-licensing examination.  Watch the deadline because no extension will be given in order to complete these requirements.
