6 hours TREC Legal and Ethics MCE Update Course   (TREC #06-06-121-8659)
Pending Approval

9 Hours MCE Residential Mortgage Lending Course       (TREC #09-00-053-18094)

The emphasis of the course is to provide Real Estate Agents with knowledge of the mortgage process that is needed to provide higher levels of service to customers.

We will cover the basic knowledge needed to understand loan origination, from application to closing, including the overall loan flow, parties involved in the transaction, and many basic mortgage terms such as loan types, documentation types and property types. Agents are also introduced to topics such as the state's required forms for Pre-Qualification and Pre-Approval of Buyers.

By educating agents about the disclosures presented to their buyers, such as loan applications, the agent is better able to assist their clients in making smart decisions throughout the purchase process. We feel that knowledge is the best means for consumer protection.

RETURNING STUDENTS: THIS COURSE IS RENEWED AND UPDATED AND CAN BE USED FOR YOUR MCE CREDIT AGAIN. IT WILL NOT CAUSE ANY PROBLEMS WITH TREC'S 2 YEAR RULE.

Additional 9 Hour Course topics are pending

Frequently Asked Questions About Online Continuing Education

Below are some common questions about our online course and about the TREC renewal process to help you out!

Do I need to be good with a computer to take an online course?

We work hard to make our course fast and easy, so even if you are not great with computers, you can still take the course. It's as simple as hitting a "Next" button!

Don't be afraid of an online course, we have had licensees as old as 89 years old take our courses successfully!

How does an online course work?

Simply purchase the course by adding it to the cart. Then checkout by clicking the flashing "Checkout" at the top of this page. You'll create a username and password that you can remember when you checkout. Be sure to print the receipt for your records.

After you are logged in, you'll see the course on your home page, which you can get to from clicking "My Home Page"

Click on the link for the course, then click the link for the lesson and you are on your way! The reading material and quizzes are all online, so there is nothing for you to print or mail in to get credit. It's easy!

You can take the course from any computer with web access and there is no software to install.

Do I have to take the course all at one time? How long do I have to finish the course?

You can start and stop at any time from any computer! At the end of each lesson, there will be a few quiz questions. When you complete a a quiz, we'll know you finished that lesson. When you login next time, you'll be able to start at the next lesson.

Take as much time as you need to complete the course, as long as you finish it before midnight on your license expiration date, of course!

Is there a test? Can I retake it if I don't pass?

At the end of each lesson, you will answer a few quiz questions about the material. These also track your progress in the course.

At the end of each course, there is an online 25 question quiz, but don't worry! You only need to get a 75% to pass and you can always go back and correct your answers if you don't pass the first time.

There is no charge to retake the quiz and you can't fail our course!

When I finish the course, how do I submit my hours to TREC?

After you finish the final test, we'll get your license number and electronically submit your hours directly to TREC, so you don't have to worry about signing any forms! Our goal is to make renewing your license fast and easy!

TREC is looking for the COMPLETION DATE of the course to be on or before your license expires, therefore you must finish before midnight on your license expiration date or you could be subject to a late renewal penalty. (See TREC MCE FAQs for more details.)

Please purchase the course more than 24 hours in advance of your expiration so that you are allowed to finish the course before midnight due to TREC's 24 hour rule that does not allow for completion within 24 hours of the purchase/start time.

Regarding TREC's "2 Year" rule, what if I've taken classes from you before or the same topic from another school?

TREC issues new course numbers every two years when the courses are renewed, so you will still get credit, even if you take what appears to be the same course as you took last time from us.

Each course provider is assigned their own course numbers, so you won't have any problems if you've taken the same topic somewhere else previously.

How do I renew my TREC license?

TREC processes all renewals online. Licensees are emailed a Security Token about 60 days prior to expiration, that is required for registration in TREC's My License Online Services.

Don't wait until the end of the month to renew because website traffic on TREC's site is limited and the site gets very slow!!! RENEW EARLY!!!

You can still fill out the paper application and mail it to TREC with a $20 processing fee.

    - Renew my existing salesperson, broker or inspector license.
    - Renew online with My Online Services
    - See my Renewal Fees
    - See my MCE history
    - Read TREC's MCE FAQs

We will submit your education hours to TREC electronically, but you must finish before midnight on your expiration date to avoid a $200 late renewal fine from TREC!

I'm having problems connecting to TREC's website. How do I renew my license?

If you are having trouble connecting to TREC's website or with the online renewal process, download
this form and mail it to TREC.

If you are unable to renew successfully with TREC, do not risk your license or a $200 late renewal fee.
